Hi Chrissy, to teach that one I taught her 3 different commands (each shaped it with the clicker) and then put the behaviors together. First I put a command to picking up a toy and holding it in her mouth ("take it"). Then I separately taught her another command ("go to the basket") which meant for her to just go stand by the basket. Then the last command she needed was "drop it" (drop the toy). Then I just put them all together! It was really choppy at first, but with help from the clicker and a lot of praise we got it all under one command ("Clean Up") and it is pretty smooth now! I must say it is a helpful trick for the dogs to know! I don't have to always pick up after her now!

Yes, I taught all of Dazzle's tricks using the clicker! But remember, don't force a trick and not the same method works for every dog. All the tricks in this video are ones that Dazzle got really easy - there are a few that she doesn't like so I don't bother training those. If your dog is having trouble just train some other trick (there are endless possibilities) - tricks should always stay 100% fun for both of you! Not to mention people will like your tricks better if they are unique! Don't be afraid to try something all NEW! Have fun! :-)
thanks loads! i will try telling my brother that also what about my pup akira she is a (rhodesian rigdbeack) SO she cant do much of the things that dazzle was doing because as you know there joints are very delicate while being a pup because she is 7 weeks and im not doing much with her at the moment but next week or somthing i will be teaching her the basic tricks she is very impatient though id start doing somthing with her and the minute it gets boring she will walk off so ill try doing the stuff you recommended with akira because my brothers border collie shouldnt be much of a problem (FOR NOW) any way loving dazzle at the moment my pups gather at the computer screen everytime i put dazzle up on the screen i do not know why its kind of crazy :) heres dazzles 34th bone :) have fun!!

Dazzle and Dazzle's mum now you can see who your chinese crested fan has been. Fetch Zoey and she is the puppy with the pink rose beside her. As you can see she is very small but is so full of energy.Some day maybe she will have a video. I also realize that this breed is not for everyone.But I love her! Sharny, maybe you can't open the videos in Windows Movie Maker because they are the wrong kind of file format. Are the videos AVIs, MPEGs or something else? I use Adobe Premiere to edit my videos and I don't really know much about WMM.

did you pay for your adobe premier ( and ive starting training kainine agility i cant train akira it yet because she is still a bubbah but i just cant seem to get kainines weeving right he keeps knocking them down and its giving me a migrain on the plus side i always look at dazzles agility on wwfido and youtube and it helps me out (any tips on how to try and get him to actually go into each weave without messing one out ( and his having problems on the teeter totter

It took Dazzle about a year before she understood agility, but 3 years to get to where she is now. Be careful teaching weave poles to such a young puppy - wait until her growth plates close at around a year old before doing much agility training so she doesn't get hurt. :)
