I think all the dogs are fantastic too. Jasmine would like to keep the contest friendly. In professional dog training school,Jasmine's best friend was George,a pug. He would snort and she would roll around. She's a smaller golden and loves to play with smaller dogs. Good luck to Hurkulez and to everyone!

Jasmine and I spent the night at my friend's house Judy trying to get the skunk smell washed out of her dog Luke. Luke was so sweet! Either Luke smells better or we smell like skunk too! Poor doggie...two skunks incidents in one week! Thanks for the nice comment. Wish all of the semi-finalists could meet just for fun! Jasmine had to be shaved yesterday at the groomers because all the medical stuff she has had done this past summer. She looks naked and like a puppy again. My other dog Sassy thinks she's a different dog. Kinda funny!
By the way,how old is Hurkulez? Jasmine is 11 years plus. My cat Coco passed away at 21. She ruled the dogs.

Hi Shannon,How are you and Hurk tonight? You really should go to the Big Dog Parade. It's always the first Saturday in June. We already have our reservation for next year. It's so fun! It's Big Dog Sportswear and it's a fundraiser. It's for all sizes of dogs. It's so much fun to be around a bunch of dog lovers. We usually stay a week and make a vacation out of it. Hurkulez would have lots of fun. Santa Barbara is very dog friendly. I grew up in the valley but moved out in 1987.(I'm an old fart...48). When I was little,the valley was so different. Lots of orange groves and cabbage fields. They made condo's out of all those places. I used to go to Pierce College and feed the geese and the stray cats. Seems like people dumped their cats there. Poor kitties! Then the valley started to go downhill and I had to get out.If you want more info....email me at :dogmom13@elkonv.com.
It's so exciting when a dog is just 10 months old like Hurk is.So much to learn and to look forward to. Right now with Jasmine and Sassy(a rescue golden),I'm just loving every moment I have with them. Their older sister Daisy(a golden/lab mix) died almost 3 years ago and we're still not over it. She was good the day before she died. She woke up the next morning and her gums were white and she was in pain. I took her to the vet right away and the xray showed a big tumor on her spleen. It had burst and she was bleeding internally. We tried to save her but she died. What a difference a day makes. So our 3 girls are down to 2. I try to remind myself that it's still worth it even though it's so painful to go through the loss. I never give up on them because I myself should've died in 1993. I have a rare blood clot. It's a subclavian blood clot. They cannot operate on it.I was a blood thinner for a long time but that didn't help. But the body has amazing power...the clot did it's own bypass. I'm getting way too wordy and I have to get up at 4:00 am so I can get to the vet's office early. I'm sure you already do....but remember that "these are the good old days" with Hurk. Give him lots of hugs because time goes way too fast. I'm sure he's a love!

Hey Hurk,You're from Valencia? This is Jasmine's dog mom and I grew up in the valley. Sometimes after work in the summer we'd take the boat out to Castaic and go water skiing. Sometimes we'd go to Pyramid. Is Magic Mountain closed? It seems like I heard that was going to happen. You could definately make it to the Big Dog Parade. It's so close for you. You would have so much fun! There are lots of pugs,lots of every kind of dog. It's sponsored by Big Dog Sportswear and it's a fundraiser. After the parade is the Canine festival. We'd love to meet Hurk next year.
I know Jasmine would be in love! She'd think it was her pug pal George. Just a few more days of this waiting. I still wish we could all go!!! Take care....
